What you’ll be doing● Technical Leadership & Architecture: Leading the architectural vision for noon’s mobileapplications, ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability of ourcross-platform codebase.● Cultivating Product Engineers: Moving beyond task delegation to mentor and grow"Product Engineers"—developers who understand the why behind the features andcontribute to the product's success beyond just the code.● Bench Building: Proactively identifying, hiring, and developing talent to build a strong"bench." You will be responsible for succession planning and ensuring the team has thedepth to handle aggressive growth.● Agile Excellence: Operating as a cornerstone in a high-velocity Agile/Scrumenvironment. You will lead technical grooming, assist in sprint planning, and ensure thatthe team delivers high-quality increments consistently.● Performance Engineering: Championing the optimization of app vitals, specifically TTR(Time to Render), FPS stability, and bundle size to ensure a "liquid" user experienceacross all device tiers.● Security Standards: Promoting and implementing mobile security best practices. You willensure the team is aligned with industry standards such as OWASP MASVS,implementing measures like SSL Pinning, secure storage, and code obfuscation.● Engineering Excellence: Establishing "guardrail" systems, such as automatedperformance regression testing and static analysis to identify potential securityvulnerabilities early in the SDLC.● REST Strategy: Collaborating with Backend Architects to design mobile-optimized RESTful interfaces that prioritize payload efficiency, caching, and offline-first capabilities.
What you’ll need● Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5years specializing in high-scale React Native applications.● Leadership & Growth Mindset: A proven track record of growing engineers from SDE-1/2 . You have a passion for building teams and creating a pipeline of futuretechnical leaders.● Agile Mastery: Deep experience with Scrum methodologies, including a strongunderstanding of how to manage technical debt within a fast-paced sprint cycle.● Product Sense: An ability to think like a Product Manager. You advocate for the user andcan translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.● Native Expertise: Deep, "under-the-hood" knowledge of i OS (Swift/Obj-C) and Android(Kotlin/Java) to bridge the gap between React Native and the hardware.● Security Awareness: Deep understanding of mobile-specific threats and securityframeworks (e.g., OWASP). Experience with biometric authentication, secure tokenhandling (JWT/OAuth2), and data encryption.● Performance Engineering: Proficiency in profiling tools (Flipper, Xcode Instruments,Android Profiler) to identify memory leaks, over-rendering, and bridge bottlenecks.● Tooling & Dev Ops: Expertise in build tools (Metro, Gradle, Xcodebuild) and CI/CDpipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, or Git Hub Actions) for automated mobile deployments.
