Job summary
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join a dynamic finance team based in Dubai. The role will primarily support accounts payable (AP) with additional exposure to accounts receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will have strong SAP experience, a background in retail (preferably luxury or high-volume environments), and a strong commitment to teamwork and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable (primary focus) activities, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations
- Support accounts receivable processes as required
- Work within SAP, supporting day to day accounting operations
- Assist in month end closing activities and routine accounting tasks
- Manage accounting transactions for multiple entities (part of a group handling 9 companies)
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial data
- Collaborate closely with senior accountants and the wider finance team
- Support reporting requirements as requested by management
Must have requirements
- Strong hands on experience with SAP
- Prior experience in retail, preferably luxury retail or a large, high volume organization
- Solid experience in accounts payable, with some exposure to accounts receivable
- Proven ability to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently
- Strong commitment to work discipline — punctual, reliable, and flexible when required
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment with a positive, friendly attitude
- Demonstrated team spirit and collaboration skills
- Reports into a reporting manager, with oversight from the CFO
