Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify variances and recommend corrective actions, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Monitor and control expenditures, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets during the project planning phase, leveraging historical data and market trends.
- Support the financial closing processes by providing accurate and timely data to finance teams for reporting purposes.
- Engage with suppliers and contractors to track costs, negotiate pricing, and ensure value for money on all project-related purchases.
- Deliver presentations and reports to senior management, communicating complex financial information in an understandable manner.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Estimation, or equivalent discipline
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in cost control, cost engineering, or project financial management within construction or infrastructure projects
Proficiency in cost management software and ERP systems (e.g., Xpedeon, SAP, Oracle, Candy or similar platforms)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders
Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management principles
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in financial documentation
