We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine who can translate this energy into every dish—someone who leads with creativity, discipline, and cultural respect while delivering a bold, memorable dining experience.

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Culinary, the Chef de Cuisine leads the Scarlet Macaw kitchen at Kimpton Sevn Dubai, ensuring the delivery of a bold, immersive, and culturally inspired dining experience.

Your Day-to-Day
No two days are the same; your responsibilities will span creative, operational, and leadership activities, including but not limited to:
Kitchen Operations
• Oversee daily culinary operations across all service periods
• Ensure smooth and energetic service flow aligned with restaurant pace
• Maintain consistency in flavour, presentation, and quality standards
Culinary Leadership
• Lead, train, and inspire a high-energy kitchen brigade
• Conduct daily briefings and service preparation sessions
• Drive performance, discipline, and team engagement
Menu Execution & Quality Control
• Execute Latin-inspired menus in line with culinary direction
• Ensure authenticity, balance, and bold flavour profiles
• Maintain strict quality control across all dishes
Cost Control & Kitchen Management
• Monitor food cost, wastage, and inventory efficiency
• Support procurement and stock management processes
• Optimise kitchen productivity without compromising quality
Hygiene & Compliance
• Maintain HACCP, safety, and hygiene standards
• Ensure full compliance with operational guidelines
• Conduct regular audits and corrective actions
Pre-Opening Support
• Support kitchen set-up and operational readiness for launch
• Assist in menu testing and recipe finalisation
• Participate in training, mock service, and concept calibration
• Contribute to SOP development for a concept-driven kitchen

What We Need From You
Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following qualifications and experience
Education
• Culinary qualification or equivalent professional certification preferred
Experience
• 5–8 years culinary experience in upscale or lifestyle dining
• Minimum 2–3 years in a senior kitchen leadership role
• Experience in concept-driven or themed restaurant environments preferred
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
• GCC/Dubai experience beneficial
