In this CIO & VP BPO DGF MEA position
Job Purpose:
- Leads business process quality & improvement for DGF Middle East, Africa (MEA) and provides input to and leads the implementation of functional strategy to identify new and alternative approaches to improve effectiveness and efficiency of business processes in line with overall company strategy, business objectives and needs, Group guidelines and policies.
- Drives long-term DGF MEA IT & BPO priorities and delivery framework for applications, integrations, process improvement, end-user training, customer solutions, information security and infrastructure deployment in line with the Division's strategies and priorities and DHL Group IT standards and policies.
- Participates in overall MEA regional business planning, keeps informed and shares current knowledge and future perspective of business process improvement measures, technology and systems as related to the Division's competitive position.
- Will attract, develop, and motivate an organization of capable, energized, engaged and dynamic process- and technology professionals.
- Is accountable for the alignment between Business Functions and IT&BPO on all levels and respectively between the business objectives and the Process and Information Technology (IT) requirements enterprise wide.
- Drives the innovation, digitalization and governance agenda and seek alignment with the other regions and divisions.
- Performs effective management of budget to ensure cost effective services and delivery of budget targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Defines key input to the MEA regional business plan and advises on the plan definition considering Divisional and global functional guidelines and objectives.
- Determines IT & Business Process governance mechanisms for the region & countries within divisional and overall DHL Group guidelines.
- Drives the preparation and execution of detailed IT & BPO plans for a harmonized & simplified IT landscape, well trained end-users, and standardization and improvement of Business Processes, in collaboration with other business functions.
- Ensures effective and efficient delivery of all digital solutions within the region aligned with the Division's strategy and priorities.
- Drives the region to country process and application training to ensure best possible knowledge in the stations and adherence to the Global Processes.
- Master’s the business and IT & BPO relationships for the region that provides co-ordination and direction and interacts with Countries’ management to ensure their needs are addressed and issues raised are escalated and resolved.
- Analyzes difficult to complex Business Process and IT issues and significantly improves, changes, or adapts existing methods and techniques.
- Drives the Customer Onboarding processes and ensures regional alignment.
- Delivers innovation that affects the way the Division is operating, making money, or managing people in the region.
- Negotiates critical targets and objectives where concepts and ideas need to be sold to others.
- Negotiates agreements and contracts and has the mandate/authority to sign them, slightly changing terms & conditions.
- Manages IT service providers based in the region and other locations where services may be provisioned.
- Approves all major IT&BPO projects including integration projects at the MEA regional level.
- Oversees the delivery of agreed programs and projects within quality, time, cost, and constraints within the MEA region.
- Implements the DHL Group policies, processes, standards, and compliance models required to meet legal and regulatory requirements, protect the DGFF customer, the brand and reputation of the division and DHL Group.
Now, here is what we need from you!
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree required
- Minimum of 10+ years of Freight Forwarding large project experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the Group, strong track record in strategic management, business development and x-BU work
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT functions with leadership responsibility
- Experience in managing and leading teams through professional standard knowledge and practical experience within IT
- Communication and stakeholder management skills at top management level
- Strong written & verbal communications skills in English
