Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct routine and specialized tests on construction materials including soil, concrete, cement, aggregates, and asphalt
Carry out field and laboratory testing as per relevant standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, or project specifications)
Prepare samples and perform testing such as:
Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and storage
Assist QA/QC Engineers in quality control documentation
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized lab environment
Support site inspection teams when required
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or related field
5–10 years of experience in civil/material testing laboratory (construction projects preferred)
Knowledge of ASTM / BS / AASHTO standards
Familiarity with lab equipment and testing procedures
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, reporting tools)
