Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Surveying & Setting‑Out
Conduct topographic, boundary, and level surveys for building construction sites.
Perform accurate setting‑out for structural, architectural, and infrastructure works (e.g., foundations, columns, blockwork, slabs, utilities).
Ensure correct alignment and elevation as per approved drawings and consultant instructions.
Verify survey data before construction activities begin.
2. Coordination & Documentation
Prepare and maintain daily surveying records, site sketches, as‑built drawings, and coordinate logs.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and consultants.
Prepare as‑built surveys for completed works for consultant approval.
Ensure surveying instruments are calibrated and maintained regularly.
3. Drawings & Technical Support
Study and interpret structural and architectural drawings, shop drawings, and IFC (Issued for Construction) documents.
Report discrepancies to the engineer and assist in resolving layout or level conflicts.
Provide technical support to the construction team related to site layout and measurements.
4. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all surveying works comply with UAE municipality regulations, consultant specifications, and project QA/QC requirements.
Follow company safety policies and ensure safe operation of equipment on-site.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in building construction projects (UAE experience preferred).
Knowledge of UAE surveying standards and construction practices.
