Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and transportation partners to negotiate contracts and optimize shipping routes for cost savings.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Fleet Coordination

  • Coordinate the movement of goods from the factory to distribution centers and from distribution centers to customer locations.

  • Prepare and monitor daily delivery schedules in coordination with the Sales and Warehouse teams.

  • Optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and control transportation costs.

  • Supervise the daily operations of company vehicles, including vans, trailers, and leased vehicles, ensuring they are operational and available.

  • Coordinate with third-party transport providers, trailer companies, and vehicle leasing vendors when required.

  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and report any operational issues promptly.

Team Supervision

  • Supervise and support a team of drivers and logistics helpers.

  • Assign daily routes and responsibilities while monitoring attendance and productivity.

  • Track team performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, delivery accuracy, fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and idle time.

  • Assist in training logistics helpers to develop into professional drivers.

  • Promote a culture of safety, discipline, accountability, and teamwork.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all company vehicles have valid registrations, insurance, permits, and required documentation.

  • Coordinate renewals and maintain compliance with transportation regulations.

  • Maintain organized records of fleet documents, driver licenses, vehicle maintenance, and compliance reports.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and road safety standards.

Planning & Reporting

  • Monitor logistics performance and prepare operational reports.

  • Analyze delivery and fleet data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance fleet utilization and service quality.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–14 years of experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or a similar supervisory role.

  • Experience supervising drivers and coordinating transportation activities.

  • Familiarity with fleet maintenance, route planning, and transportation compliance.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.

  • Good knowledge of fleet operations and logistics processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics management systems.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
