Role Description The Fire Pump Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire pumps and associated equipment, ensuring that systems function correctly and meet regulatory and manufacturer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing operational issues, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and completing necessary repairs or component replacements. The role also involves documenting all work performed, preparing service reports, and communicating findings and recommendations to supervisors or clients. The technician is expected to follow safety procedures, coordinate with other fire safety teams, and support periodic audits and compliance checks. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of Fire Extinguisher maintenance and Life Safety requirements for building and facility protection. Experience working with Fire Suppression Systems and Fire Safety protocols, including local codes and standards. Strong Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control issues related to fire pumps and associated systems. Previous experience as a fire pump technician or in a similar fire protection technical role is highly beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and system schematics. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field teams and clients. Willingness to work on-site, including at heights or in confined spaces, following all safety and PPE requirements. Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or fire protection engineering is an advantage.
