Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to support the delivery of infrastructure works for the Al Raha Island development in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and supervision of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and associated infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.


  • Supervise the execution of infrastructure construction works on site.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
  • Review and provide technical input on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
  • Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, inspectors, contractors, utility authorities, and the client to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or technical issues, proposing practical solutions.
  • Ensure all works comply with health, safety, environmental, and local authority requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities where required.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
  • Support the review of contractor claims, variations, and payment applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the site supervision team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10- 15 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
  • At least 5 years of UAE experience in construction supervision or consultancy.
  • Proven experience in roads, utilities, stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated infrastructure works.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an advantage.
  • UAE driving licence is preferred.
  • Experience working on large-scale residential, mixed-use, or master-planned community developments.
  • Previous experience on projects for government or semi-government developers is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Ras Al Khaimah and Northern Emirates authority requirements is preferred.
