Job description
Our
client is a well-established building contractor specializing in refurbishment,
rehabilitation and structural repair projects up to AED 10M across the UAE.
We are recruiting an
experienced Project Engineer to manage residential refurbishment projects
involving concrete repair, structural strengthening and specialist
rehabilitation works. The role will be responsible for coordinating project
execution, technical requirements and site delivery to ensure projects are
completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage concrete repair,
structural strengthening and refurbishment projects from planning through to
completion, coordinating resources, materials and site teams to achieve project
requirements.
- Review technical
drawings, specifications and project documentation, including preparing and
modifying AutoCAD drawings to support project execution.
- Coordinate with clients,
consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical
issues and maintain project progress.
- Conduct site
inspections, monitor workmanship and implement corrective actions to ensure
compliance with project specifications, engineering standards and safety
requirements.
Skills &
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ UAE
project engineering experience managing concrete repair, structural
refurbishment or rehabilitation projects, with a mandatory background in
residential refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Strong technical
knowledge of concrete repair methodologies, structural strengthening techniques
and construction practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
with the ability to prepare and modify technical drawings.
- Strong project
coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage
contractors, stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced construction
environment.
- Valid UAE driving
license is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Currently residing in
the UAE.
- Good command of written
and verbal English.
- A proactive self-starter
with strong technical judgment, able to take ownership of project delivery,
make practical decisions and provide effective solutions on site.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline is
mandatory.
