Role Description The Veterinary Surgeon role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. The Veterinary Surgeon will perform routine and advanced surgical procedures on companion animals, including soft tissue and emergency surgeries, while ensuring high standards of anesthesia, pain management, and post-operative care. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, developing treatment plans, overseeing laboratory diagnostics and imaging, and providing medical management of internal medicine cases. The role also involves advising clients on preventive care, nutrition, vaccination schedules, and wellness, while maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating with the veterinary team to deliver consistent, compassionate care. Qualifications Strong expertise in Veterinary Surgery, including routine, soft tissue, and emergency procedures. Solid foundation in Veterinary Medicine and Medicine for companion animals, including diagnostics and treatment planning. Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including interpretation of lab results and use of diagnostic equipment. Demonstrated ability in Pet Care, including preventive health, nutrition counseling, and client education. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and valid license/eligibility to practice in the UAE. Experience working in a small animal clinical setting, ideally with dogs and cats in a high-standard hospital or clinic. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client trust and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
