Role Description The Architectural Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate architectural and construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details for various building projects. This full-time, on-site role is based in Fujairah and involves translating design concepts and specifications into clear technical drawings using CAD and related software. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with architects and engineers, updating drawings based on feedback, and ensuring all documentation complies with local building codes and project standards. The role also includes organizing drawing sets, maintaining drawing registers, and supporting planning submissions and construction teams with clear, updated documentation. The draughtsman is expected to collaborate closely with project stakeholders, meet deadlines, and maintain high drawing quality and consistency.
Qualifications Strong proficiency in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to produce clear, detailed, and accurate plans. Knowledge of Architecture and Planning principles to interpret design intent and support project development. Solid Drawing skills, including manual and computer-aided drafting (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit or similar software). Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field. Prior experience as an architectural draughtsman or similar role within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or GCC region. Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and permitting requirements. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams on-site in Fujairah.
