Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design, development, and coordination of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing mechanical drawings and calculations, overseeing CAD modeling, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves managing project timelines, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supervising junior engineers, and supporting site inspections and technical issue resolution. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to research and development initiatives, optimize designs for efficiency and sustainability, and support client meetings and technical presentations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including building services and system design. Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and the analysis of mechanical components and assemblies. Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and documentation. Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D), innovation in mechanical solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Several years of proven experience in mechanical engineering for construction or MEP projects, preferably in similar sectors. Familiarity with international and local engineering codes and standards, and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication skills, ability to mentor team members, and readiness to work on-site in Beirut.
