Role Description The Project Planning Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, preparing detailed planning documents, and coordinating with project managers and site teams to track progress. The Project Planning Engineer will monitor and report on project performance, including timelines, resource utilization, and cost impacts, using appropriate planning and project control tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include updating schedules, analyzing variances, supporting cost control activities, and preparing regular progress reports and forecasts for management. The role also requires participation in project meetings, identifying potential risks or delays, and recommending corrective actions to keep projects on track. Qualifications Strong Planning & Scheduling and Planning skills, with experience using project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Experience in Project Control and Cost Control, including monitoring budgets, tracking expenditures, and supporting financial projections. Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related field) or a closely related discipline.4 -5 years experience in construction projects in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis. Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
