About the Project Join a landmark, large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This high-profile, strategic project will play a pivotal role in the UAE's clean energy transition. Due to the confidential nature of this initiative, project and client names will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates only.
The Role This role is focused on the core of the project's energy storage component. As the HV Electrical Engineer for the Energy Storage Facility (ESF), you will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all high-voltage electrical equipment, including inverters, transformers, and switchgear. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the safe and reliable integration of the BESS with the grid.
Key Responsibilities Supervise the installation and commissioning of all HV equipment within the Energy Storage Facility. Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and constructability. Uphold the highest safety and quality standards during all electrical works. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration. Witness and approve testing activities, including Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and pre-commissioning checks. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during installation and commissioning. Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Experience Minimum 7 years of postgraduate experience in the relevant discipline. Demonstrable experience working on UAE TRANSCO projects (mandatory). Proven experience in installation and commissioning of HV equipment on power projects.
Technical Expertise Experience commissioning high-voltage equipment, including inverters, transformers, and switchgear. Experience in PV, BESS, or utility-scale power projects is strongly preferred.
Mobilization: Candidates must be available to mobilize within one month.
