Lead complete HRC production operations from slab charging/reheating to finished coil.
Plan and achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets.
Optimize mill productivity, yield, availability and operating costs.
Ensure stable operation of Reheating Furnace, Roughing Mill, Finishing Mill, Laminar Cooling and Down Coiler.
Control product quality, dimensional accuracy, surface quality and mechanical properties.
Develop and monitor production KPIs including TPH, yield, availability, prime quality %, energy consumption and cost/ton.
Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Electrical & Automation, Quality, Metallurgy, Utilities, Planning and Logistics.
Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure strict compliance with all HSE and operational safety procedures.
Manage and develop production teams, shift personnel and operating staff.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production and performance reports.
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, energy efficiency and overall plant performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
15+ years of experience in the steel industry.
Strong hands-on experience in HRC / Hot Strip Mill operations is essential.
Proven experience managing a complete rolling mill operation.
Strong knowledge of rolling technology, process control, quality and mill optimization.
Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in commissioning/start-up of a new HRC mill will be highly preferred.
