Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on a variety of trailer types, ensuring roadworthiness and safety.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments, to minimize downtime and extend trailer lifespan.
Conduct thorough brake system inspections and repairs, including adjustments, component replacements, and ABS system diagnostics.
Service and repair suspension and steering systems, addressing issues like worn bushings, kingpins, and alignment problems.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics is highly preferred.
- ASE or equivalent certifications in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck or Trailer Systems are a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience specifically with trailer repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing air brake systems, ABS, and electrical components is essential.
