Experience Level: C-Level / Executive About the Role We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the company's day-to-day operations and drive operational excellence across the organization. The COO will work closely with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team to translate business strategy into effective execution, improve operational performance, build scalable processes, and support sustainable business growth. The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with commercial awareness, strategic thinking, process improvement, and exceptional people-management skills. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's overall operational strategy in alignment with business objectives. Lead and oversee day-to-day business operations across key functions. Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans, priorities, and performance targets. Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive business execution. Establish operational KPIs, performance standards, and management reporting systems. Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement. Drive efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness across the organization. Develop and implement standardized operating procedures, policies, and workflows. Identify operational bottlenecks, risks, and process gaps and implement effective solutions. Lead business-process improvement, automation, and operational-transformation initiatives. Ensure effective coordination between Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, HR, Technology, and other departments. Establish clear accountability and performance expectations across operational teams. Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and operational budgeting. Monitor operating costs and implement cost-control and efficiency initiatives. Support revenue growth and profitability through improved operational execution. Develop scalable processes and systems to support business expansion. Lead operational planning for new markets, locations, products, or business units. Oversee relationships with key suppliers, service providers, partners, and operational vendors where applicable. Ensure operational activities meet appropriate quality, compliance, and business standards. Identify and manage operational, commercial, and business-continuity risks. Establish appropriate risk-management and business-continuity procedures. Use data and performance insights to support operational decision-making. Review operational reports, financial information, customer metrics, and business KPIs. Ensure effective customer-service and operational standards across the organization. Support technology adoption and digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency. Lead organizational-change initiatives and ensure effective implementation. Recruit, mentor, and develop senior operational leaders and managers. Build a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative operational organization. Establish leadership-development and succession-planning practices. Represent the company in strategic operational and commercial discussions. Provide regular operational updates, performance reports, risks, and recommendations to the CEO and Board. Ensure the organization remains agile and capable of responding to changing market conditions. Maintain high standards of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Typically 12+ years of progressive management and operational experience, including substantial senior leadership responsibility. Previous experience as a COO, Deputy COO, Operations Director, General Manager, Managing Director, or equivalent senior leadership role is preferred. Proven experience leading multiple business functions or large operational teams. Strong experience in operational strategy, performance management, process improvement, and organizational development. Experience managing budgets, costs, resources, and operational KPIs. Experience leading business transformation, automation, or operational-improvement programs. Experience managing multi-site, multi-entity, regional, or international operations is highly desirable. Experience working closely with CEOs, Boards, shareholders, and senior leadership teams. Strong experience in developing scalable processes and operating models. UAE / GCC or international management experience is strongly preferred.
