• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
• Undertake costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
• Perform risk and value management and cost control;
• Advise on procurement strategy;
• Identify, analyses and develop responses to commercial risks;
• Prepare and analyses costs for tenders;
• You will check sub-contractors tenders for hidden costs;
• Allocate work to subcontractors;
• Provide advice on contractual claims;
• Analyses outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
• Value completed work and arranging payments;
• Maintain awareness of the different contracts in current use;
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations;
Skills
• Have a university Degree in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering/Construction Management or Cost Engineering from an accredited internationally recognized University;
• Minimum of 5 to 10 yrs experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying of large infrastructure construction projects
• Should be experienced in pre and post contract quantity surveying services;
• Proven ability in providing budget cost for the projects and providing reports and commercial information to the Head of Department;
• Ability to perform in a high pressure environment;
• Previous experience in the UAE is preferred
• Strong English communication Skills
