Job Summary
To establish and maintain all GL/ Suspense accounts integrity including:
Controlling and reviewing all GL, Suspense, Sundry accounts reconciliations.
Monitoring the integrity of the general ledger accounts, identifying, communicating and resolving issues relate to un-reconciled balances.
Liaising with Finance, Ops Risk, Internal and External Audit in relation to GL/Suspense accounts balance reporting and ad-hoc task/assignments.
Quality dashboard preparation, management reporting, and opportunity identification.
Key Accountabilities
• NOSTRO/ Dividend/ Central Bank/ ATM GL/ Sundry/ Suspense accounts reconciliation & monitoring of aging analysis.
• Visa Card/ MasterCard/ Diners including Issuing & Acquiring – Debit & Credit Card GL reconciliation & monitoring of outstanding items.
• Automation of all manual reconciliation processes with proactive controls for exception management.
• Reviewing the transaction defects based on root-cause reports and identifying/proposing robotic automation solutions with enhanced controls.
• Monitoring and effectiveness of overall reconciliation quality including auditing via spot checks.
• Ensuring accounts are reconciled from the GL to an appropriate source.
• Tracking un-reconciled outstanding balances and clearing issues.
• Escalation of issues as required.
• Understanding and approving the risk assessment, procedures and level of evidence required to complete a reconciliation.
• Recruiting, training, developing, leading, motivating a team to deliver high-quality services.
