Financial Planning & Analysis Manager -F & B Industry- CPA, CIMA or ACCA

Basic Function  

The position will oversee the financial reporting and management accounting for the Middle East distribution entity and responsible for taking actions that ensure transactions impacting the financial reports are properly monitored, controlled, and posted to the general ledger in the proper period and duration.

The role will be exposed to the operations and responsible for the finance and controllership functions of the company.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Planning

  • Responsible for the Financial and management reporting, capex, working capital budgeting, forecasts preparations
  • Approval of balance sheet reconciliation
  • Manage the capital request, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager with pricing negotiations
  • Coaching accountants on process improvements in all aspects of the financial / budgeting and related accounting process.

Operations

  • Manage the accounting, treasury, and accounts payable/receivable functions of the business.
  • Support the financial operations of all related business units within STIME
  • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
  • Manage the company's transaction processing systems
  • Implement operational best practices
  • Information
  • Ensure proper issuance and accuracy of all financial information
  • Prepare and report financial results as required and in accordance with the established reporting calendar.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager to provide management and other departments with information for decision making in their respective scope of operations 
  • Prepare summary financial results for the customer as required and in accordance with the established reporting calendar, ensuring credibility and trust.
  • Manage inventory landed cost and customers sales pricing process
  • Management
  • Ensures financial policies and internal controls are adequately implemented 
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements within the scope of the role
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors, government agencies and company governance requirements
  • Report risk issues to the Senior Finance Manager/Management Team

Funding

  • Monitor cash balances and forecasts
  • Manage internal cash transfer processes
  • Managing activities related to Capital Authorization Requests
  • Payable & Receivable
  • Ensure an efficient team of accounts payable/receivable is operating.
  • Ensure receipts and payments are made within agreed terms
  • Ensure internal control processes such as Purchase Orders are being followed
  • Maintain direct debit facility for accounts receivable and strive to convert all customer outlets to the system
  • Management
  • Liaises with the following:   
  1. External auditors
  2. Banks
  3. Other government institutions  
  • Develops team towards accomplishing work objectives and overall department goals, includes holding direct reports accountable for their effective management of staff.
  • Participate in recruitment activities as and when necessary - employee selection, career development, succession planning.
  • Performance management of staff as required
  • Active participation in annual Performance Review processes
  • Responsible for ensuring the work-related health, safety, and wellbeing of all direct reports and for contributing to the overall safety focus of the business.

Skills

Qualification

·      CPA, CIMA or ACCA holder or tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.

·      Min 7 years relevant experience in Finance

·      F&B Industry experience (2-5 years)

·      Familiar with Oracle computerized accounting and multinational business environment (3-5 years).

·      Advanced Excel Skills

·      FP&A Experience - MIS, Budgeting, Variance Analysis

·      Knowledge of US GAAP, IAS, SAS will be an added advantage.
