Catering Assistant

Food Preparation:

  • Assist in the preparation of food items, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, making salads, and preparing simple dishes.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

Service:

  • Set up serving areas with the necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Replenish food and drink stations as needed.

Cleanliness and Hygiene:

  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure that food storage areas are clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Dispose of waste and handle recycling appropriately.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest inquiries and needs promptly and professionally.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with a positive attitude, escalating to supervisors as necessary.


Skills

Experience: Previous experience in a catering or food service environment is preferred but not always required.

Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.

Certifications: Food handler certification or similar may be required, depending on local regulations.

Personality: Positive attitude, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset.
