Roles & Responsibilities:


1) Must be able to design and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildings and other steel structures.

2) Must be able to develop detailed design calculations for the steel structures , all steel to steel and steel to concrete connections and get approval from contractor, client and consultants.

3) Must be able to review shop drawings prepared in Tekla and AutoCAD and manage the modelling and detailing team.

4) Must be able to do connection design of complex steel structures for buildings, warehouses, industrial projects using connection software such as idea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excel spreadsheets for connection design.

5) Can do quantity take off for steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawings provided.

6) Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.

7) Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop structural designs.

8) Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and identify potential issues.

9) Perform calculations and simulations to determine the strength and stability of structures.

10) Review and approve design changes and modifications based on project requirements.

11) Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.

12) Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural design.

13) Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.

14) Communicate and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

Skills

1) Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

2) Must be well versed in STADD PRO/ETABS software for Steel structure Design.

3) Must be familiar with American and British Steel Design Codes.

4) Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.

5) At least 5 years of experience in structural design engineering.

6) Experience working on large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.

7) Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.

8) Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SAP

9) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

10) Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

11) Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

12) Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor degree in Civil or
  2. 3 years of design experience
  3. Knowledge in fabrication and erection activities
