• Support a range of students within the school in improving their social skills, gross and fine motor skills, subject knowledge as per the curulliculum expectations and independent learning skills.
  • Create a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, student centred and engaging.
  • Use relevant data to monitor pupil progress, set appropriate targets, and plan subsequent lessons planning and delivering differentiated lessons under the guidance of a qualified teacher.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals holding parental responsibility with regard to pupils’ achievements and well-being.
  • Promote good and courteous behaviour both in classrooms and around the school in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Respond to the needs of the children by providing appropriate intervention to enable them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist the teacher with daily routines, e.g. organization of homework folders, diaries and reading books.
  • Ensure the classroom environment meets standards for safety and cleanliness.
  • Observe and receive feedback from experienced teachers to improve personal professional practice.
  • Engage in wider professional responsibilities, making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school; developing effective professional. relationships with colleagues and knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support.
  • Participate in training and mentoring programs to develop your teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress in Arabic language, becoming confident in the application of statutory assessment requirements and use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’ progress.

  • Use behaviour management techniques which are appropriate to pupils’ needs in order to involve and motivate them; exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when necessary whilst maintaining good relationships with pupils.
  • Utilize technology effectively, where appropriate, both in classroom instruction, and for student assignments to advance the educational process and engage students.
  • Participate in school events, and contribute to school life outside of the classroom including, but not limited to; after school clubs, coaching, lunch clubs.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings with mentor and/or line manager to establish progress on iPGCE course and identify areas of support, where required
