Black & Grey HR is hiring for a renowned University in the UAE. Our client is hiring for a Manager of Scholarships & Academic Aid, who oversees the administration, development, and promotion of scholarships and financial aid programs at the university. This role focuses on ensuring that students have access to resources that support their academic journey, managing funds effectively, and advising students on their eligibility for financial aid. The Manager works closely with students, donors, and university departments to streamline processes and provide timely and accurate financial support.
Responsibilities:
Scholarship Program Management:
- Develop and manage university scholarship programs, including merit-based, need-based, and donor-funded scholarships.
- Oversee the application process, eligibility criteria, award distribution, and renewal processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external donors to identify scholarship opportunities and secure funding for student aid programs.
Financial Aid Administration:
- Manage the university's financial aid programs, including grants, loans, and tuition assistance.
- Advise students and families on available scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study opportunities, helping them navigate financial aid applications and processes.
Student Support & Outreach:
- Organize workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to educate students about scholarship opportunities and financial aid processes.
- Provide clear and timely communication to students regarding deadlines, requirements, and financial aid policies.
Fund Management & Reporting:
- Monitor the scholarship and financial aid budget, ensuring that funds are allocated and distributed efficiently.
- Prepare regular reports on scholarship awards, fund utilization, and financial aid program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements, financial aid regulations, and reporting requirements, both internal and external.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with university leadership, alumni relations, and development teams to build relationships with donors and secure funding for scholarships.
- Work with academic departments to align scholarships with student needs and academic priorities.
- Serve as the liaison between the university, government agencies, and private organizations on financial aid matters.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial aid, scholarships management, or a related area, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven experience in managing scholarship and financial aid programs, including donor relations.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to financial aid and scholarships.
- Strong understanding of financial aid principles, policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for advising students and interacting with donors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines and programs.
- Problem-solving skills to address student financial challenges and develop solutions that meet institutional goals.
