Role - Assistant Finance Controller
Location - Abu Dhabi
Salary - 12 k AED
Desired Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Finance and Accounting as senior level
- Accounting/ Finance qualification (CPA, CA, CMA), MBA is a plus
- Experience of handling finance team at group level.
- Knowledge of ERP Financial Software is necessary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work to deliver accurate monthly accounting close and financial position through close monitoring and analysis of accounts.
- Compile monthly reporting packages to support CFO and top management business reviews
- Review monthly closing procedures and accrual bookings for accuracy
- Conduct and present a detailed financial analysis of the different financial cycles to the senior leadership and ensure that any actions driven by the findings take place.
- Develop reports and schedules as required for external and internal purposes to ensure that any business decision is backed up with the right financial data.
- Implement and maintain budgetary controls over operating expenses and capital expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations and develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Support and lead the requirement of the external auditors, internal auditor, and tax reviews.
- Monitoring internal financial metrics and advising management as appropriate
- Maintaining and developing financial records
- General bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and processing expenses and payments
- Creating management accounts and reports
- Oversee the entire accounting process, ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions from initial entries till finalization.
- Prior Experience of working as a finance controller at a group level.
- Develop and present comprehensive MIS reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends
- AR and AP knowledge, prior experience of dealing with customers and suppliers and following for payments.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including VAT, Income Tax, and other necessary financial regulatory requirements specific to UAE and India.
- Finalization of books of accounts as per IFRS and submission for audit. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the
- audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations. Monitor banking activities and reconcile bank statements. Optimize cash utilization through effective cash flow forecasting and investment strategies.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Work closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Hands on experience in MS Office (Excel/word/PowerPoint).
- Previous experience of working on an ERP system.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, applying them to improve financial management within the company.
- Maintain a positive and approachable attitude, fostering a culture of openness and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting systems and policies.
- Communicate financial information, analysis, and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and team members. Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve financial objectives.
