Our client is an awarding winning Hotel offering luxury rooms, hosting bespoke events with style, popular restaurants, and F&B outlets.

 

We are seeking a Sales Manager to join the Food and Beverage team

 

Key role is to drive revenue by selling event space, rooms and F&B Outlets to corporate groups and exhibition room nights.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Build and maintain strong co-operative and professional relationships with unit management and clients.
  • Deliver and drive strategies for MICE segments.
  • Participate in department budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with government bodies and local authorities.
  • Set sales targets for the hotel and plan towards achieving the goal.
  • Contacts within the local and international markets.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections by hosting current as well as future clients.
  • Understand, create, and prepare proposals and quotes.
  • Plan and stage client functions, site inspections; follow-up post function on client satisfaction.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes, requests for proposals, sales enquiries, pending billing and closing PM’s.
  • Analyse client and market information and compile conclusive reports with recommendations for ongoing or new business.
  • Contribute to weekly / monthly departmental meetings by liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Attend networking events and functions / make external sales calls.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef / F&B Director in creating menus and pricing.
  • Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.


Skills

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A Self-motivated, target orientated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen
  • A relevant qualification relating to Sales & Marketing / Events or Hotel Management
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of PMS Systems
  • Familiar with Micros / FMC / Opera and other hotel operating systems
  • Social media savvy with the ability to monitor, comment and follow up as required.
