Group Reporting Manager

Looking to identify a talented individual who would be responsible for overseeing all finance functions, including; group reporting and consolidation, audit, tax, fixed assets, treasury, accounts receivables and accounts payable. The role will also lead the successful implementation of Oracle's ERP software and ensure that the system is aligned with the company's financial policies and procedures.

Our Client is one of the largest producers in the world with a current capacity from three sites with sister company of over 70 million tonnes per year of bulk materials and combined reserves of billions of tonnes. They are currently searching for an experienced Group Reporting Manager to join their team in Ras Al Khaimah.

Description

Financial Reporting
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and the company's policiesAnalyse and interpret financial data, provide insights, prepare and present results and recommendations to management and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with the company's tax, legal, and regulatory obligations and liaise with external and internal auditors and authorities as requiredSupport the budgeting and forecasting process and monitor the actual performance against the budget and forecast


ERP Implementation and System Controls
Lead the finance team in the implementation of Oracle software and ensure that the system is configured and customised to meet the company's financial requirements and standardsDevelop and implement system controls and policies to ensure the security, accuracy, and completeness of financial data and transactionsProvide training and support to the finance and accounting teams on the use of Oracle software and system controlsCoordinate with the IT team and external consultants on system implementation, issues, upgrades, and enhancements


Other
Primary point of contact with auditors for the year-end audit and IDO internal auditsPerform ad hoc reviews on accounting and reporting matters to ensure consistency across entitiesPartner with other Group functional leaders on accounting matters including FP&A, Operations, Business Excellence and CommercialLead, motivate and develop the finance team, ensuring that department objectives are achieved


Managerial Accountabilities
Establish goals and objectives for the financial services function and ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall objectivesDevelop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial services functionLead and motivate the finance team and provide coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and performancePromote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the departmentCommunicate effectively and professionally with the finance and accounting teams, executive management, and other internal and external stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong working relationships with the FP&A, procurement, IT, business excellence and operations teams and ensure alignment and coordination of financial processes and activitiesRepresent the finance department in cross-functional projects and initiatives and provide financial expertise and guidanceManage and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within or across the financial services function


Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldChartered Accountant (fully qualified) - CA/ACCA/CPA13+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the mining, construction or heavy industryExperience in leading or managing the implementation of Oracle softwareManaged, trained and developed teams of >15 peopleWorked for companies with >1,000 employees
