Position Overview
The production planner reports to the Planning Supervisor and has primary responsibility to plan production schedule according to requirements of customer orders and safety stock levels.
PRIMARY DUTIES
This individual will be involved in coordination of production, following legal and customer specific regulations as well as ensuring reliable quality and cost efficiency for the corresponding production schedules. Including:
- Optimal planning to requirements of customer orders and safety stock levels (MTO/MTS), taking into account the batch sizes and delivery.
- Prepare Monthly - Weekly plans and monitoring of production.
- Work on Service level agreements/ Stocking Policy.
- Inventory control and correction of finished goods, organizing the flow of goods.
- Ensure trouble-free process in relation to the master data listed below.
- Initiation and monitoring of production
- Coordinate with R&D & MDM team for new code creations.
- Work to Service level agreements
- Implement MRP with an objective to decrease inventory to meet monthly DOH targets (Raw Material, Packaging & Finish goods).
- Lead change management process to cover personnel, process & software to transform the facility from manual planning system to MRP based planning.
- Ensure trouble-free process in relation to the master data listed below
- Advising other departments about details of production and packaging models
- Planning and control of production capacity accordingly and orders
- monitoring production schedules and stock levels
- Creation of Manufacturing order.
- Creating & Updating of Master data.
- Prepare & Maintain ISO Documentation for Planning function.
- Review & Take actions on slow moving & obsolete inventories so as to reduce the financial impact.
- Documentation and further development of existing and future packaging systems.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Cooperation with customer service, quality control, production, warehouse & purchasing, to ensure in time availability of material; communication above interfaces to follow up on customer orders pro-actively.
Minimum Requirements
- Min. 3 - 5 years job experience in production, production planning dept.,
- Language skills English, fluently spoken and in writing
- Computer skills: familiar with ERP system Microsoft Word, Advance Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & SAP.
- Personal skills: team working, reliable, persistent, good communicator, customer focused, very good sense of time; ability to work under timely pressure, prioritize & managerial courage.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- In depth knowledge of production planning process & Inventory management requirements
- Preferred Engineering degree or BSC degree
