ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER
SUMMARY
- Coordinates and executes sales plan for both domestic and international markets, towards the achievement of overall Hotel sales and profit objectives.
- Supervises and guides Account Managers in their job performance to ensure optimum efficiency and professionalism
Organizational Relationship
- Reports to General Manager.
- Supervises Account Managers and Tour & Group Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates the performance of the Account Managers in such activities as maintaining contacts with clients, to solicit business for the Hotel.
- Assists in the preparation of annual sales goals. Develops working plans to carry out such goals with given time frame, regularly compares achievements against goals; analyses variances and takes necessary corrections.
- Confers with Account Managers and customers to discuss convention and function details and requirements. Negotiates, confirms and follows up on requirement for space, rooms, meals, banquet and others.
- Ensures the coordination of Front Office, F&B, Banquet and Housekeeping on all domestic and international convention/seminar room bookings.
- Ascertains that activities and arrangements are correctly implemented.
- Coordinates, follows-up and discusses with Account Managers on issues, problems, undertakings, sales activities, etc., during weekly meetings or whenever necessary.
- Personally assists Accounts Managers in the handling and resolving of difficult issues, other customer problems, etc.
- Develops methods and ideas to most efficiently maximize sales, in coordination with the Assistant / Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Submits summary of Daily Sales Call and Activity Reports to the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Analyses sales / market potentials and submits reports to the General Manager for both domestic and international markets.
- Goes on sales trips to promote and solicit business from international and foreign markets, as per sales trip schedule contained in the approved Sales & Marketing plan and budget.
- Performs other duties assigned by the General Manager.
