Job description:

• An experienced Production and Factory Manager with a Workshop background to be responsible for the overall management and control of workshop manufacturing, planning, installation and Project Team.
• Manage the maintenance and effective use of all machinery and equipment to ensure most efficient and highest quality work methods are achieved. Strict implementation of Health & Safety systems
• Hold weekly production/contracts meeting with managing director, Project Engineer, Design and procurement staff to provide update of all jobs / delivery schedules etc.
• Liaise with Project manager/Emgineer to ascertain weekly requirements / changes.
• Responsible for on-going training and development of joinery/manufacturing/installation staff.
• Assign jobs to workshop labour and ensure a clear understanding of requirements is passed on.
• Ensure works are completed within set timescales and delivery dates are met.

• Implementation of good 'house-keeping' in all areas of manufacturing and aware of the Health and Safety management for the employees, factory and site work.
• Must be able to motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance
• Continuously identify and forward ideas that will improve efficiencies.
• Ensure time sheets are accurately completed, collected weekly and signed off.
• Undertake interviews for production staff candidates.

Skills

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years’ UAE experience working as a Production Manager/Fit Out Manager in the same field
• Expanded knowledge on new machineries, production process and the safety standards.
• Must have knowledge and experience in joinery and the full scope of fitout works on large scale and high end projects.
• Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work; Work well under pressure
• Ability to present ideas effectively, evaluate ideas of others and possess excellent motivational & leadership skills
• Good command of written and spoken English be an advantage.
