The Quantity Surveyor Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry, particularly within general engineering consultancy. This position involves managing all costs related to building projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time. The Quantity Surveyor Engineer is responsible for the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, providing essential support to project managers and stakeholders. With a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience required, this role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability and financial implications.
  3. Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
  4. Monitor project progress and financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize project costs.
  7. Evaluate and manage variations and claims during the project execution.
  8. Provide advice on contractual matters and risk management strategies.
  9. Assist in the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
