Sales Engineer Intern (Leading to Full-Time)

Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday / Saturday (per company policy), 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Employment Type: 90-Day Internship with Stipend & Incentives Career Path: Successful completion guarantees a permanent Full-Time contract.

About the Role

entry2exit.com is seeking a proactive and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our Dubai team. This is a unique hybrid role that combines commercial acumen with technical execution. You will not only sell software solutions but also oversee their implementation and provide ongoing support.

We are looking for a "doer"—someone who enjoys closing deals in the boardroom and configuring systems at the client site.

Key Responsibilities

This role covers four distinct areas of operation. You will be trained to handle the end-to-end client journey:

1. Business Development (Sales)

  • Identify and generate new leads for our software and hardware solutions.
  • Conduct cold calls, client meetings, and follow-ups to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and negotiate contract terms to close deals.
  • Achieve monthly targets for meetings set and deals closed to earn incentives.

2. Software Consulting

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their specific pain points and requirements.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and presentations of entry2exit solutions.
  • Bridge the gap between client needs and our technical capabilities, ensuring the proposed solution is feasible and effective.

3. On-Site Project Delivery

  • Oversee the physical deployment of projects at client sites across the UAE.
  • Manage the configuration, installation, and commissioning of software/hardware systems.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors or internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

4. Technical Support

  • Provide post-sales support, troubleshooting technical issues for existing clients.
  • Conduct user training sessions to ensure clients are comfortable using the system.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to encourage renewals and up-selling.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Valid UAE Driving License and own car (preferred). You will be required to visit client sites frequently.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or IT-related fields.
  • Skills: Strong command of English (written and verbal). Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Availability: Must be available to work full-time (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) from our Dubai office.
  • Attitude: High energy, self-starter, and willing to get "hands-on" with technology.

The Offer: Your Path to a Career

This is a 90-day probationary internship designed to filter for future leaders in our company.

  • Fixed Stipend: [Insert Amount, e.g., AED 2,000 - 3,000] per month.
  • Incentives: High commission structure on every deal closed during the internship.
  • The Goal: We are not looking for temporary help. Positive results and performance during these 90 days will yield a GUARANTEED full-time position with a revised salary package and benefits.

Skills

1. Technical Hard Skills (The "Engineer" Side)

Since they will handle on-site delivery and support, they need practical, hands-on technical knowledge, not just theory.

  • Networking Fundamentals: Understanding TCP/IP, IP addressing, Subnets, DNS, and configuring routers/switches. (Crucial for connecting ANPR cameras and software).
  • Low Voltage Systems: Basic knowledge of cabling (Cat6/Fiber), power supplies, and connecting hardware like barriers, sensors, or cameras.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows (for server/client software installation) and basic Linux command line (often used in backend appliances).
  • Database Basics: Ability to run simple SQL queries or backup/restore databases (helpful for troubleshooting software logs).
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose if an issue is physical (loose wire, blown fuse) vs. software (configuration error).

2. Commercial & Sales Skills (The "Sales" Side)

  • Consultative Selling: The ability to ask "Why?" instead of just saying "Yes." They need to diagnose the client's problem before pitching a solution.
  • Requirement Gathering: Ability to look at a site floor plan or a physical location and determine exactly what hardware is needed (e.g., "We need a camera here to catch the license plate at this angle").
  • Proposal Writing: Skill in drafting clear scope-of-work documents and commercial quotes (using Excel/Word) that protect the company from "scope creep."
  • Negotiation: The confidence to discuss pricing and hold firm on margins without losing the client.

3. Operational & Field Skills (The "Delivery" Side)

  • Project Management: Ability to create a simple timeline (Gantt chart or list) and coordinate with vendors/contractors to ensure the site is ready on time.
  • Documentation: Discipline in creating "As-Built" documents, user manuals, and signing off UAT (User Acceptance Testing) forms.
  • Driving & Navigation: [Mandatory] Valid UAE license and the ability to efficiently plan routes between multiple client sites in Dubai to minimize travel time.

4. Soft Skills & Traits (The "Human" Side)

  • "Commercial Empathy": Understanding that a technical glitch isn't just a bug; it's a business loss for the client.
  • Resilience: Sales involves rejection; Support involves angry customers. They need a thick skin for both.
  • Adaptability: The ability to switch context instantly—from a polite boardroom presentation to crawling under a desk to fix a cable 30 minutes later.
  • Language: Fluency in English is a must. Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a strong plus for dealing with diverse site teams and contractors.
