Overview Of The Role:
The Outdoor Product Buyer for Children is responsible for sourcing, selecting, and managing a diverse range of outdoor products tailor-made for kids. This role requires strategic collaboration with vendors and a keen understanding of market trends to meet customer needs and align with company objectives. The successful candidate will manage inventory levels, develop supplier relationships, and partner with marketing teams to drive product performance and promotional success.
What You Will Do:
Product Sourcing and Selection
- Research and identify new outdoor products for children, including ride-ons, bicycles, scooters, beach toys, and inflatables.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality product sourcing.
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize inventory levels and profitability.
Market Analysis and Product Performance
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to evaluate product performance and inform future purchases.
- Manage stock levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory risks.
Marketing and Merchandising
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies and coordinate product launches.
- Contribute to in-store merchandising and online product presentations to enhance customer engagement and sales.
