Job Purpose:
To monitor and provide first level first level technical support on IT Infrastructure Facilities, Windows and Unix servers hosted in T1, T2,T3 & DR Data Centers and other remote locations. Provide daily updates on infrastructure related events to management for review and decision making.
Principal Responsibilities:

- To regularly and proactively monitor various elements of IT Infrastructure facilities namely power supply, temperature & humidity control equipment, fire detection & suppression systems, etc. Escalate and follow up with vendors supporting all such equipment
- Monitor all servers hosted and running in the Data Centers, wireless access points and other IT equipment that form the backbone of IT infrastructure
- Monitor services on critical applications such as CTMS-TOS interface, batch processes, etc. Restart services, as required, or escalate and follow up with Level 2 Support teams for issue resolution
- To liaise with IT Helpdesk staff in communicating with end users regarding planned and unplanned system outages, critical incident reports, etc.
- Manage system backups as per defined procedures and frequencies; responsible for conducting periodic checks to restore backup data to test integrity of backups
- Maintain records of all activities performed by self / vendors / other support personnel within the Data Center premises. Responsible for enforcing Access Policy at Data Centers.
- Assist in maintaining documentation of infrastructure procedures, operation instructions, user manuals, quality assurance program by adhering to ISMS standards & policies.
- First level support for all mission critical applications
