Description
In this role, you will oversee and manage all accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and robust reporting. You will provide actionable financial insights to management, maintain internal controls, and support decision-making with precise and timely information.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide financial information to management by researching, analysing, and preparing reports
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account data
- Document financial transactions by entering account information
- Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options
- Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
- Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering queries
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
- Secure financial information through database backups and internal controls
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting policies and regulations
- Manage and oversee all UAE tax requirements, including VAT calculations, return submissions, reconciliations, and compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, advising management on necessary actions
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintain customer and operational confidence by keeping financial information confidential.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly Oracle
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial formulas)
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- 10 years of experience preferably within government, semi-government, or educational institutions, including financial statements, audits, budgeting, and expense control.
