Job Role OverviewAs a Motor Mechanic with 1–3 years of experience, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of vehicles (cars, light trucks, or motorcycles). You will work in a workshop environment, ensuring that all vehicles are returned to customers in a safe and reliable condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspection.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform standard services, including oil and filter changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, and brake adjustments.
- Mechanical Repairs: Repair or replace worn-out parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, belts, and hoses.
- Engine & System Service: Assist in servicing engine components, fuel injection systems, cooling systems, and transmissions.
- Testing: Conduct road tests after repairs to verify that safety and performance standards have been met.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records of all repairs performed, including parts used and hours worked.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or diploma in automotive technology is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in an automotive workshop or garage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with basic automotive tools (wrenches, scan tools) and a solid understanding of vehicle hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various positions for extended periods in a workshop setting.
- Compliance: Knowledge of UAE road safety and workshop safety regulations.
