  Overview:  Dokainish & Company is seeking an  experienced MEP Lead  to drive engineering excellence across a landmark mixed-use luxury project in Dubai featuring ultra-luxury residential, hospitality, branded residences, and high-end retail.
    We need someone experienced who ensures world-class MEP systems delivery, meeting luxury expectations, operational efficiency, sustainability targets, and budget parameters and able to coordinate complex engineering requirements across diverse asset classes  This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate must be based in Dubai, or in the UAE, willing to independently relocate to Dubai.
   Key Responsibilities:  Lead MEP design coordination across all project components (residential, hospitality, retail)  Manage MEP consultant teams (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, façade consultants)  Establish MEP design standards ensuring luxury performance without over-engineering  Review and approve all MEP deliverables for technical compliance, coordination, and value  Coordinate MEP requirements with branded operators and ensure brand standard compliance  Drive MEP value engineering balancing capital costs, operational efficiency, and lifecycle costs  Ensure MEP systems support sustainability certifications (LEED, Estidama, etc.
)  Manage design coordination with architects, structural engineers, and interior designers  Oversee clash detection, BIM coordination, and constructability reviews  Coordinate authority approvals (DEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality) for MEP submissions  Monitor MEP budgets and track cost estimates against target parameters  Ensure MEP installation quality through construction phase reviews and testing/commissioning oversight  Background & Requirements:  12+ years in MEP engineering with 5+ years in leadership roles on luxury projects  Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering  Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred  Proven delivery of MEP systems for 5-star hospitality and/or ultra-luxury residential projects  Deep technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, BMS, and smart building systems  Experience with complex mixed-use projects integrating multiple asset classes  Strong understanding of MEP cost drivers and value engineering methodologies  Proficiency in BIM coordination tools (Revit MEP, Navisworks) and engineering analysis software  Experience coordinating international MEP consultants and navigating UAE authority approvals  US, Canada, UK, Europe, Australian education and experience preferred  Dubai/GCC project experience essential    What Success looks like:   MEP systems meet luxury performance expectations across all asset classes  MEP coordination achieved with zero major clashes and minimal RFIs during construction  MEP budgets met through disciplined value engineering and cost control  Authority approvals secured on schedule with zero technical non-compliances  Systems commissioned successfully with operational handover meeting brand and operational requirements
