We are looking for experienced Senior Database Specialists (m/f/d) with in-depth expertise in SQL-based database systems to strengthen our IT team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, performance, and security of our database landscape and will drive modernization and automation projects forward. In this responsible position, you will actively shape our company's database landscape. Your activities include:Cross-country architecture and operation of SQL databases (conceptualization, implementation, operation, and scaling) Performance Tuning (ensuring stability, optimization and security, analysis, indexes, and resources) Backup, recovery, and high availability (implementation and testing of backup and restore strategies) Optimization and further development of internal as well as integration of external software solutions based on SQL databases (such as BMD, Share Point, MS Dynamics, Azure) Security and Compliance (Development and management of complex database structures considering international requirements) Automation and Monitoring (development of monitoring solutions, automation of deployments and routine tasks) Migration and upgrades (planning and execution of migrations between versions and platforms) Close collaboration with the business units to ensure efficient analysis and reporting processes.

Qualifications What you should bring:Several years of professional experience as a database specialist (m/f/d) or database administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on SQL databases (MS SQL Server, Postgre SQL) Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and its associated services (Analysis, Reporting, Integration) Practical experience in automation (e.g., Power Shell) and monitoring tools Proven expertise in the development and operation of extensive databases Understanding of IT security and international compliance requirements (encryption, role management, etc.) Strong analytical skills, structured working approach, and enjoyment of complex technical challenges Excellent spoken and written German and English skills. What we are additionally pleased about:Experience with Backup/Recovery, high-availability solutions, and disaster recovery strategies. Solid experience with modern analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) as well as knowledge of modern front-end and back-end technologies (Angular, C#, Java Script, Type Script). Experience with cloud database services (Azure) Expertise in containerization and Kubernetes in the database context
