Job DescriptionOverview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our site supervision team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing mechanical works on large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority standards, and international codes. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and efficient coordination with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality project execution.
Your role
- Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as‑built drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants for seamless project execution.
- Respond to RFIs and provide technical clarifications as needed.
- Attend progress, coordination, and technical meetings.
- Supervise testing and commissioning activities for HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and related systems.
- Ensure all testing documentation, checklists, and certificates are completed.
- Support final handover documentation, snagging, and de‑snagging activities.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and site inspection reports.
- Maintain logs for materials, drawings, RFIs, and approvals.
- Review contractor progress and provide input for project scheduling.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 7+ years in the UAE in site supervision roles.
- Strong experience in villas, high‑rise buildings, or residential projects.
- Full knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority procedures, and mechanical design guidelines.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering tools; Revit knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
