About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef – Pizzaiolo to join Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in supervising the pizza section, ensuring consistent quality, authenticity, and presentation
- Take a hands-on role in dough preparation, fermentation, topping preparation, and pizza baking, managing oven temperatures and techniques
- Assist with pizza menu planning and recipe development, including testing, refining, and maintaining accurate specifications
- Monitor production standards during service, correcting methods to maintain optimal taste, texture, and efficiency
- Support staff scheduling for the pizza section, including rosters, overtime, leave, and training of junior pizzaiolos
- Ensure strict hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience a five-star international chain in Europe and Asia in a position of Chef De Partie
Completed kitchen apprentice or chef’s training for at least one year Sound knowledge about all kinds of cooking techniques and methods
Proficiency in English
