JOB PURPOSE



Conduct reviews and studies; and provide professional advice to Operations staff in solving operating problems
timely to assure reliability, high efficiency and achieve the production target in line with the HSE standards for
contributing in meeting the production target.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES



Operations Support and Engineering Expertise
• Provide advice to the Operations staff in solving operating problems and optimizing and monitoring the
conditions through data acquisition, analysis, and applications to contribute in assuring reliability and
achieve high efficiency.
• Review and develop the operating procedures for existing plants and new modifications to ensure safe
start up and continuous business operations.
• Monitor the process safety elements in line with the KPI requirements. Report any deviation for
immediate remedial actions.
• Develop the Integrity Operating Window for critical equipment and systems in coordination with other
departments to ensure that the plant is operating at optimum efficiency and safety.
• Participate and provide high quality input in various studies like Hazop, SIL, Risk assessment, Root
Cause Analysis, etc.
• Review the operating data as per the planned production targets and past and present prevailing
conditions, which include, but not limited to, laboratory analysis and operating plant performance;
highlight any major deviation from the operating envelopes (parameters) and ensure suitable mitigation
actions.
• Review and monitor the overall reliability efforts and participate in reliability improvement programs and
root cause analysis for problem identification. Recommend preventive and corrective actions as
required.
• Prepare reports for all abnormalities and alarm management system. Produce specialized reports as
required, such as recommendations for improvements pertaining to safety, energy saving, cost saving
and operation convenience.
• Ensure the continuous functioning of the Advanced Process Control (APC) system. Troubleshoot
various shortcomings in coordination with the maintenance and technical services.
Supervision
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job
and deliver the respective functional objectives.
Budgets
• Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved
Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and
procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International
standards.
Performance Management
• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the
Company Performance framework.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS



Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering or an equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 8 years of experience in Plant Operations in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all process units operations for Gas Processing Plants.
• Familiar with the general plant layout and the interconnection between units.
• Good understanding of plant production capacity optimization and feed stock utilization.
• Ability to increase plant production capacity through innovation and other sources in line with the agreed
budget.
• Good knowledge about risk assessment and failure report analysis, process flow diagrams, etc.
• Thorough understanding of HSE standards, policy and procedures and the consequences of their nonconformance.
• Planning, organising, scheduling, co-ordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
