Overview of the role

In this position, the Job holder is responsible to independently handle Application Engineering requirements of the A/C Division.

• To perform the Design, Estimation, Equipment Selection, Tender Compliance, Technical Submittals & Quotations for all products of AC Division.
• To co-ordinate with Principal(s) on all technical matters related to Products and Pricing
• To efficiently support the Sales Team by providing optimum selection of Units & Best priced offer for every project, to enable the Division to achieve the budgeted Sales Targets.
• Give accurate reports to management on the Project status and support in fore-casting.

Business Strategy & Planning:

• Provide excellent product and Technical support to Sales Team by giving quality Quotations for Projects.
• Devise strategy to counter Competition, product wise.
• Promote excellent cross selling of products with other Divisions of AF Engg

Market Intelligence:

• Research market in terms of current Job in Hand projects, under design, and in Tender stage.
• Competition info and Analysis
• Liaises with Developers, Consultants, and MEP Contractors to update market information.

Skills

Required Skills to be successful:

• An Application Engineer within the HVAC industry with a multinational or large regional company.
• Experience in Design and selection of HVAC equipment, especially DX Type AC units & VRF.
• Works within the approved Project budget and provides the most optimum solution for any Project.
• Excellent interpersonal skills / customer focused / Team player with a positive attitude.
• Enthusiastic and display willingness to learn new Products and their application.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point) and competent letter writing skills.
• Proven client database
• Preferably hold a valid UAE driving license.

What equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Mechanical engineer with 3-5 years’ experience within the HVAC industry.
• Thorough knowledge in the selection of Ducted Splits, VRF, Package Units, AHUs, FCUs and Chillers.
• Experience in Estimation, project costing, Compliance statements & Technical Submittals for AC Units.
• HAP software & AUTOCAD knowledge is an advantage
