About the Role

To install, maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems and equipment to ensure optimal thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and system reliability while maintaining strict compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning: Install HVAC systems such as split units, packaged units, chillers, AHUs (Air Handling Units), FCUs (Fan Coil Units), VRV/VRF systems, and ventilation fans. Lay out and install ductwork, refrigerant piping, and related controls and accessories. Perform start-up and commissioning of new equipment, verifying system functionality and safety.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC units, air filters, coils, belts, and motors. Diagnose system malfunctions and perform troubleshooting on compressors, thermostats, electrical circuits, sensors, and control boards. Repair or replace defective components such as fan motors, valves, relays, contactors, and pressure switches. Monitor refrigerant levels and recharge systems in compliance with environmental regulations.
Testing & Performance Monitoring: Conduct airflow and temperature measurements to ensure optimal system performance. Record operating parameters (e.g., suction/discharge pressure, temperature, voltage, current). Identify performance issues like inadequate cooling/heating, noisy operation, or energy inefficiency.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain service logs, job cards, PM checklists, and work order records. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track tasks and equipment history. Report faulty systems, required parts, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Tools & Equipment Use: Operate and maintain HVAC tools such as vacuum pumps, recovery units, gauges, multimeters, and leak detectors. Ensure all tools are calibrated, in good condition, and used safely. Qualifications
Education: ITI / Diploma in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering. Certification in HVAC systems (ASHRAE, EPA 608, or equivalent is a plus).
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC system components, and controls. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and O&M manuals. Familiar with BMS (Building Management System) operations. Ability to work independently or in a team under pressure. Preferred Skills
Ability to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, or in hot mechanical rooms. Capable of lifting equipment or components up to [X kg]. Willingness to work in shifts, on-call rotations, weekends, or emergency call-outs.
Pay range
1900 Aed to 2100 Aed ( depending on knowledge and experience)
