About the Position:


Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager Sports Bar to join the resort s Food & Beverage team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Direct daily shifts in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure readiness and consistency.
  • Assist in managing budgets, cost control, labor scheduling, inventory oversight, and cash handling procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of business strategies and promotional initiatives aimed at maximizing revenue, seat utilization, and overall productivity.
  • Coordinate with culinary leadership to ensure menu availability, address dietary requirements, and manage pacing and specials.
  • Supervise reservations, waitlists, and floor plans to optimize guest flow and table turnover.
  • Prepare and present daily operational reports, escalating issues, and recommending solutions to the General Manager.
  • Support administrative functions including timekeeping approvals, petty cash reconciliation, incident documentation, and stock counts.
  • Provide daily supervision, guidance, and coaching to supervisors and service staff to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to inform menu development, pricing strategies, and staffing adjustments.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the restaurant s brand image and guest appeal.
  • Represent the restaurant and company positively in interactions with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Lead daily briefings to communicate operational priorities and service expectations.
  • Participate in recruitment, candidate screening, and onboarding processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role in a luxury restaurant with direct P&L responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably in casual or luxury dining.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively influence knowledge, relationship management, and trust.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage conflict and ensure successful outcomes; work under pressure and deal with high stress situations while exercising sound judgment and decision making.
  • Strong product knowledge of cuisine style and wine; WSET 2 preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office and POS software; comfortable with digital reports and checklists.
  • Experience within luxury 5 star hotels/restaurants delivering exceptional dining experiences.
