Chief Capital Markets Officer
We are working on a confidential search for a senior executive to lead and transform a Capital Markets platform within a high-profile, fast-growing financial services group in the region.This is a board-facing, strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape market infrastructure, drive product innovation, and position the organisation as a leading capital markets hub both regionally and internationally.
The OpportunityAs a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the group’s capital markets strategy, driving growth across product, client coverage, and market participation.You will play a central role in enhancing market competitiveness, expanding international reach, and delivering innovative capital markets solutions across asset classes.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of the Capital Markets strategy, aligned with overall group objectivesDrive market expansion and internationalisation, attracting new issuers, investors, and intermediariesOversee product development across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investmentsEnhance market infrastructure, trading platforms, and data services to support growth and liquidityBuild and maintain relationships with regulators, government entities, institutional investors, and market participantsProvide leadership across sales, relationship management, and product teams to drive revenue and client engagementMonitor market trends, liquidity dynamics, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunitiesEstablish best-in-class risk management, governance, and operational frameworksLead organisational development, including team structure, performance management, and talent strategy
Candidate Profile15+ years’ experience within capital markets, exchanges, investment banking, or financial market infrastructureProven leadership experience in senior / executive roles with strategic accountabilityDeep understanding of market microstructure, trading ecosystems, and capital markets productsStrong track record in driving growth, product innovation, and market development initiativesExperience engaging with regulators and shaping market frameworksBachelor’s degree required; MBA or professional certifications (CFA/FRM/CPA) preferred
