Job description
Job Purpose
The Finance Manager will manage the full finance and accounting function for a UAE‑based trading business, with strong exposure to chemicals, industrial materials, FMCG, or import/export trading. The role requires a hands‑on professional with strong IFRS knowledge, UAE tax expertise, and the ability to control cash flow, inventory costing, audits, and ERP processes. The position also requires strong review capability — ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and control across all financial data.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
IFRS‑compliant preparation of accurate financial statements. Month‑end and year‑end closing including GL review, reconciliations, provisions, and accruals. Management reporting including MIS, dashboards, and consolidated reports. Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and audit trails. Review and validate accounting data rather than only recording transactions. Trading Business Accounting
Handle import purchases, landed cost, inventory costing, and stock reconciliation. Manage supplier documentation, LC/TT charges, shipment costs, and landed cost sheets. Oversee inventory valuation and cost allocation for trading operations. Taxation & Compliance
UAE VAT filing, reconciliation, and compliance. UAE Corporate Tax calculation, documentation, and return preparation. Transfer Pricing documentation and related‑party compliance. Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and statutory requirements. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization. Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, LC/TT transactions, and negotiations. Monitor receivables, payables, and credit exposure. Audit & Governance
Lead external audits and ensure timely closure for all entities. Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors. Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks. ERP & Systems
Support Odoo ERP implementation and system improvements. Participate in process mapping, data migration, and system validation. Oracle ERP experience is preferred but not mandatory. Drive automation and process improvement initiatives. Multi‑Entity Operations
Manage financial processes across multiple companies. Standardize procedures, reporting formats, and internal controls. Ensure consistency in accounting practices and documentation. Mandatory Requirement

Professional qualification — must have one of the following: CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or CMA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance Strong IFRS knowledge (mandatory) 7–10 years of finance/accounting experience, including leadership responsibility Minimum 3–5 years in UAE trading/import business Experience in: VAT Corporate Tax Transfer Pricing Consolidation Inventory costing & cash flow control Audit coordination ERP implementation exposure (Odoo preferred; Oracle is a plus) Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Must be based in UAE
