We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental operations within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing workplace risks, and maintaining high environmental standards across all company operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, logical reasoning, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with UAE regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local authorities, MOHRE, Civil Defense, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Organize regular safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
  • Monitor workplace inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintain records related to safety audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct evacuation drills.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
  • Liaise with government authorities and external auditors when required.

Skills

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of HSE experience (preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sectors).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and compliance standards.
  • ADOSH certification.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits and prepare technical reports.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.


Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience in chemical factory or industrial plant environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong emergency response and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a safety team effectively.
