Job Purpose




Lead Customer Supply Chain (CSC) for the Consumer Healthcare MEA Operating Unit to deliver on business objectives including approximately 1B GBP in annual gross sales. CSC is the operational face to the customers and includes the functional areas of customer service and engagement, customer collaboration, Demand planning and forecasting, transportation, warehousing, and reverse logistics.



As the leader of CSC, this role will be responsible for developing and executing customer strategies that optimize service level, customer inventory and cost to serve while delivering when, where, and how our customers and consumers want our products. Advancing and maintaining integrated collaboration with other functions of Quality Supply Chain and Commercial to impact top line sales and profit. This role is responsible for identifying and advancing capabilities that will keep pace with how our customers and consumers buy our products including via eCommerce and Direct to Consumer.



Primary contact between the Quality & Supply Chain Procurement (QSCP) and Sales organisations. You will also be a member of the MEA QSCP Leadership Team and responsible for understanding the cross-functional, broader OU business context and end-to-end supply chain and quality organization.





Responsibilities





  • Own the Customer supply chain relationship. Establish and maintain strategic supply chain relationships with Senior Supply Chain and Operations Leadership resources at our customers. Ensure that the Customer voice is embedded and heard across all QSCP.



  • Responsible for all aspects of the MEA Supply Chain from forecast development, customer inventory, order processing, warehousing, shipment, and delivery to the customer. Lead warehousing and logistics team, developing strategies, driving productivity, flexibility, cost, managing 3PL and carriers relationships, invoicing, etc.



  • Perform local network analysis as well as develop and implement new capabilities to support the changing customer delivery needs (direct-to-consumer, cross-border, personalization).



  • Direct the CSC teams in their efforts to collaborate with and influence our retailers on key replenishment, retail execution, and supply chain activities that have an impact on revenues and costs for both Haleon and our customers.



  • Provide strategic leadership impacting change in a dynamic business environment (internally and commercially) by:



  • Providing strategic direction for improving business processes and technologies to help provide key insights on how supply chain activities impact customer and Haleon performance.



  • Architecting and overseeing the implementation of creative, profitable solutions to challenging replenishment, customer operations, supply chain, and collaborative account forecast problems in a complex environment.



  • Partnering cross-functionally to develop and influence best practices for providing visibility to supply chain issues/opportunities and continuous improvement activities required to support our customer operation/customer supply chain activities.



  • Oversee the collaborative account forecasting process between CSC and Sales and ensure that all risks and opportunities are identified and reported to sales, demand planning and supply chain leadership through the appropriate leadership forums (i.e. Integrated Business Planning).



  • Provide thought leadership to the industry by serving as the Haleon representative on key supply chain leadership forums.



  • Direct, develop and grow the Team resources by proving clear direction, establishing objectives, providing real time feedback on performance, and establishing development plans for the future operational leaders of the organization.



  • Grow and develop senior leaders and team through active participation in coaching, talent reviews and development, feedback sessions, etc. Encourage and support the professional development of colleagues, instilling a culture of leadership and management excellence. Lead talent strategy and plans for the CSC team and participate in broader talent planning.



  • Manage CSC&L cost to plan identifying and elevating opportunities and risks with plans to capture or mitigate.



  • Demonstrate enterprise leadership skills on the MEA QSCP Leadership Team, including proactively contributing to the development and execution of the BU/region’s strategy.





Requirements





Basic Criteria:




  • 15+ years of relevant experience, with 10+ years in a similar supply chain lead role



  • FMCG/CPG incl. food or Consumer Health/OTC experience.



  • 10+ years of proven experience in customer engagement and collaboration at high level.



  • Multimarket/Regional experience



  • Proven leadership experience in a multicultural environment



  • Strong learning and adaptability mindset



  • Thorough understanding of and experience in Supply Chain function areas, such as forecasting, inventory control or demand planning.



  • Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, statistical forecasting software, and demand planning software.



  • Required knowledge and experience with forecasting tools and strong understanding of forecasting algorithms such as time series based demand forecasting.





Preferred Attributes:





  • MEA experience is a plus



  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to assimilate large quantities of data.



  • APICS (Association for Operation Management) certification, CPIM (Certification in Production and Inventory Management) would be considered an asset.



  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred along with a solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, PBI and relational database concepts are required.



  • Previous experience with Logistics Software Solutions is an asset.



  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize shifting workloads.



  • Excellent professional verbal, written communication.



  • Strong, demonstrated networking skills.



  • Global mobility support will be evaluated on a case-to-case basis
